Results from 1/9

Sorry about the delay today. I finally received a new laptop!!!!! I was in the middle of a post to this blog when my computer finally died. It took me a little while to get a new one, but now I am back up and better than ever. I did run my winning streak to 8 straight days yesterday. Unfortunately it was a rather small win, as I barely won at a 1bb/100 pace. My total profit including bonus was $58, but it is much better than posting a loss. I did find that the first couple of hands that I enter really set the tone for that session. If I lose the first couple of hands then I find it very hard to move people off of draws. If I show down some premium hands early though, then I can make some moves later on. To take advantage of it, when I get to a new table I am going to try and play even tighter so that the first few hands I show are premium ones.

By the way if you are new to the blog or if you have not checked in a little while, we have had some good discussions over the last couple of days, especially yesterday. I will do my best to always answer questions and provide whatever advice that I can.

Jan 1 bankroll - $5252
Jan 9 bankroll - $5765
Profit - $513
Feb 1 goal - $9000

Because I didn't have access to UB. (computer problem). I ended up playing my $7 stack at pokerroom.com.
I sat with $6 at a .25/.50 10 seat limit table. Played by the book. I won $17. $16 was kind of the daily goal so I called it mission accomplished and quit for the night.
I hope to fix my Virtual PC problem tonight. Then I can go back to my $300+ UB stack and play some NoLimit tonight.

Hey Bill, just checking in.

85, I received an email from Full Tilt saying that they are releasing a Mac version in late January/ early February.

Just so you guys know (85, Ben), Bill is a friend of mine and his race to 100k has inspired me to change my game and actually make some money while doing something I enjoy. The only goal I have really set for myself is to keep improving my game. Besides my session log, I have my own blog at www.jeremyw.net How original is that :)

Cya around.

Yeah Jeremy is a great guy, and a pretty good player. He runs our home tourneys which is always well attended and much appreciated. We are also headed to Tunica together in February for a little live poker. I cannot wait because it has been waaaaaayyyy too long for me since I have been in a casino.

I hope Full Tilt doesn't get their software from pacific poker. I'd freeze up on a hand enough times that I gave up on it.
Pokerroom.com is "the" site for mac players at this point.
UB is the only one that runs well with VirtualPC that I'm aware of. It works very well.
I've been on interpoker and absolute poker with the virtual PC as well. They started out ok and got worse for some reason.
