Well today I am going to keep the post somewhat short because I have a packed day. I already went to breakfast with the kids and then went to my son's basketball game and signed him up for soccer. Now we are building a pinewood derby car and then I have a party to go to tonight. I will eventually get to play some later on tonight. Thank God I don't sleep much. Anyway last night was another winning session. With my bonus I ended up ahead $110 for the night.
Jan 1 bankroll - $5252
Jan 14 bankroll - $5896
Profit - $644
Feb 1 goal - $9000

I got crushed on Friday night. I need to learn that some days you can't win.... ever. Just hang it up. I'm worse off than when I started.
Played 14 tables. Left 13 of them with nothing or down.
One incredibly lucky river is the only thing that saved me from total destruction.
Previous night Stack 431
Current stack 196 (ouch babe)
Goal for Jan 500
SFL (SFL is my own acronym "Sh** For Luck")
Keep up the good work Bill maybe you will convince me I'm going about this all wrong.

I have learned when to quit when you can't hit anything, unfortunatly I learned it the hard way :) I finally hit my short term goal of $200 from $50. Unfortunatly today I didn't have that good of focus/patients so I called it a day -$14. Im being patient & really trying to get my game togather. This blog sure does help. Im also going to join PokerFox.

Well I agree that if you feel that you are not going to win then you should hang it up. That is because you are not in the mental state to win. It is like a slow burn type of tilt.
I do believe that 85 needs to play games within his bankroll (I am sure he will learn eventually). I am pleased that Ben is joining pokerfox. In addition to the training, the rakeback will help you out more than you realize. It is good to have at least one thing consistently working for you.
Hey Bill,
I was right next to in the OPT tourny last night...kept trying to get ur attention. I was playing too many tables at once, tho, and figured you were, too.
I am Badkarma on Fox.
You know....even Doyle says you're supposed to hit your draws sometimes....and that can make or break a session.
Glad ur winning again.
I didn't say I didn't think I could win. That was my problem in fact. I thought I could continue to play and things would turn around. Not the case.
I played one tourney Saturday. I lasted less than 10 hands. I had KK. bad flop. so don't get crazy with the betting. Turn and River are just as ugly if not uglier. I lose 300-400 chips.
KK again guy bets large preflop. I call. Flop 48Q. He bets big I call. Turn 2. He goes all in. I call. He has QA..........River..........A
and I'm done for the night.
You suggested Zen of Poker to me a long time ago. It was exactly what I needed. I think right now I'll change sites and play my $20 pokerroom stack for a week. I'll do my best with that, won't be upset to lose it. As I'll be playing limit and that just isn't enough of a stack to be working with.

Sorry BadKarma for not saying hello. Most of the time I am playing a couple of tourneys. The best way to reach me is through MSN messenger. I am billinga@yahoo.com on both MSN and Yahoos messenger.
The reason why I asked what your ID was on pokerfox is because I did not see it listed under the member list. Have you joined their forum yet?
Sorry 85 I must have read your first sentence wrong. I will tell you that for the most part there are no days that you can't win if you are playing a ring game. Now there will be an occasional day where you will not win, but for the most part when I look back at a losing session I find mistakes that I made that causes me to lose. The good news is that if I can fix those I may never lose again ;-).
I just got processed.....and I guess I'll join the forum officially if that's what needs to be done.
Also, when I joined I did mention your blog as the referral....and I am going to deposit at FullTilt for their program....you may want to shoot them an email for your referral %.
I was playing a bunch of tables too....I understand.
I freakin won a tourny last night...1st win!!! (many final tables, but never 1st) $30 buyin on UB.....$2800.00 smackers.
Congrats BadKarma on the win!!!! $2800 is far ahead of my biggest win. I have had two wins above $1000, but I have never broken the $2000 barrier. Awesome job!!!
Thanks for the referral. Once you get your id on the forum I will email Fox about the referral. I do appreciate you doing that, and I wish you all the best on the felt.
